It's like learning to drive all over again

...but without a learning permit! We picked up our car in downtown Auckland, which has a LOT of traffic, and Dave somehow managed to get us around and back to our house without a major accident.  Paul even drove a bit and now they say it's my turn.  I think I'll just wait until we're out of the city.

Last night we went to a party at Steve's (the groom) parents (Phil and Patsy) house. Lot's of  very friendly people from USA and NZ. We had a great time and I even heard Steve's  uncle say "Bugger off!" to someone.

Here is a view of the Auckland city skyline. Note the Auckland Tower in the middle.  They say it's Auckland version of the Seattle Space Needle. We were on our way to Takapuna where we are staying.

This is a portion of the tower - the let people bungi jump off of this thing!!! Crazy!

Here are Dave and Paul at Kilarney Park, just a short walk from our house.  That's Lake Pupuke in the background.  See the picture below for a view of the lake from the deck of  the house we're staying at.

Today we take Amy and Don to catch the ferry to Waiheke Island where the wedding will be held on Sat. We stay one more night here in Auckland and they take the 'car' ferry to Waiheke on Saturday morning.

Weather has been very warm and sunny. Love it!!!
