Waiheke Island paradise

The wedding was yesterday, the weather was perfect and the bride was  beautiful, so what more could we want?  A very touching ceremony was conducted by Taylor and Maggie and Steve were calm and composed. Here are a few pictures...

We left them all dancing away about 11pm. Those Kiwis really know how to party!

Now, on to where we are staying on the island, Connells Bay.  We have a cottage right on the water and words just don't do it justice, so here are a few pictures.

This is a huge 'bath stopper' that is right in the middle of the bay. They have an art park here with beautiful, fantastical sculptures. This is the only one on the water.

And yes, that is the view from the porch. That is another small island straight ahead and that's the Coromandel penisula farther on. It's a tough life, but I'm glad I'm living it!!!
